LWV of Kitsap Annual Program Planning Meeting

The LWV-Kitsap will hold their annual Program Planning Meeting on January 29th at the Poulsbo Library from 10:30am to 12:30pm. The focus is on local program ideas for next year.
“Program” is the basis for the League’s education and action efforts.
Most “program” ideas should originate from members. Program ideas include:
1. Issues about which we educate the public
2. Adopted positions upon which “action” is taken
3. Issues for “study” that will lead to a position
Most of our program relates to educating our members and community about topics of interest.
To be effective local leagues need to prioritize what issues they will work on in a given year. While it is important to include state and national priorities in the local League agenda, it is vital that local Leagues identify what issues are of concern locally.
All members of the League of Women Voters of Kitsap are encouraged to attend and give feedback on what our focus should be for the next year!
